BREAKING: Possession of hoverboards banned in USC housing

Guess you’re going to have to walk

Ainsey Carry, the Vice President for Student Affairs, issued a memo at 5.38 pm, forbidding the use and possession of hoverboards on all USC owned dorms, apartments and houses.

Citing safety concerns regarding the alleged fire hazards of hoverboards, Ainsey said: “This decision was made in consultation with USC’s Division of Student Affairs, Housing, Environmental Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Department of Public Safety and Risk Management.”

When reached for questions, DPS declined to comment, saying that only Deputy Chief David Carlisle can make an official statement regarding the announcement.

The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs could not be reached for comment.
