Might As Well is quickly becoming our new favorite bar
It replaced Fitzgerald’s on Franklin
Might As Well Bar & Grill has finally arrived on Franklin Street and we are here for it. The space formerly known as Fitzgerald’s has a whole new look and the owners are ready for us Tar Heels to get rowdy.
MAW (as they like to be called) had their ‘soft opening’ on Thursday afternoon to test the waters and ease their employees into the routine of things.
The new bar is bringing a cleaner, healthier version of a sports’ bar menu to Franklin while also providing a cool atmosphere and great night life. MAW also expects to rent out the back room for events and open the outside area in the spring – nicknamed “Beer Garden” – for all of the sunny, drunk afternoons.
Sidenote: you can bring your dog. Please bring your dog. Seriously.
Honestly, the most exciting part of MAW will be their late night delivery service coming soon. They will be delivering from their $5 Late Night menu until 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekends. Get. Hype.
The bar will be open from 11am – 2am every day, with the exception of staying open until 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays. 3 am!!
Students can look forward to daily food and drink specials, College Nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Live Music Nights and DJ Club Nights on weekends.
