Photo feature: Fall at Carolina

It hasn’t lasted long enough

As Fall comes to an end, let’s take a moment to reminisce on the prettiest season in North Carolina. From the the leaves to the football to the weather…we’re going to miss you, fall.

The sun shines through the tree outside of Lenoir, highlighting its changed leaves.

Leaves fall into crevices on the stone wall outside of Lenoir.

Under the bike rack outside of Greenlaw, dead leaves bunch up just waiting to be crunched.

As the leaves finish changing color before Winter, a lone red one lies on the ground.

Outside of the bell tower a few trees haven’t changed color yet. By now, they may have already.

Next to the Student Stores, a bird’s nest isn’t so hidden anymore as the leaves around it fall off the branch.

Fallen acorns line the ground underneath the bell tower.

Students run past the bell tower and into the woods wearing typical outfits for North Carolina’s warm Fall.

The bell tower is framed by a beautiful Carolina blue sky.

Acorns hide in the shadowy ground next to Kenan Stadium.

As football season comes to an end, the Carolina blue sky still outlines Kenan Stadium.

Gorgeous fall leaves frame the Morehead-Patterson bell tower.

Students attempt not to trip on acorns in their walk to class.

Soon the tables behind Lenoir will be filled up by only the bravest few willing to sit outside in chilly weather.

Goodbye sweet 60 degree weather.
