UNC issues ‘all clear’ after report of armed person near Venable Hall
The lockdown is being lifted
The university sounded the “all clear” after an unconfirmed report of an armed person on UNC Chapel Hill’s campus near Venable Hall.
An Alert Carolina warning said the report was unconfirmed, but the campus asked students to shelter in place.
The university activated the sirens and students were instructed to stay inside and away from windows.
