Two of Moe’s biggest fans are already in line for the opening

‘We brought wine – not sure if we’re allowed to drink it or not’

Seniors Madeline Ives and Charlotte Mills take their love for burritos very, very seriously.

But who can blame them when the new Moe’s Southwest Grill on Franklin Street is offering free burritos once a week for a WHOLE YEAR to the first 100 customers at their grand opening tomorrow at 11am.

Madeline and Charlotte were the first to arrive at 110 West Franklin Street at approximately 3.15pm this afternoon, lugging chairs, snacks, movies and blankets to help them through the night.

“We brought wine. Not sure if we’re allowed to drink it or not,” Charlotte said. “We are 21 though.”

If they make it through the chilly 40 degree weather tonight, the two girls will not only receive crazy amounts of burritos, but also a “special prize” for being the first customers.

The owner, Jennifer Wade, would not reveal the special grand prize.

For you not-so-dedicated Moe’s lovers, Wade encourages you to stop by tonight from 5pm to 8pm for a “Friends and Family” night to get an entree, side and a drink for only five bucks. One hundred percent of the money will be donated to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
