UNC cheerleaders Vinny and Carol got engaged at Saturday’s game

It’s impossible to say no in front of a sold-out Kenan

Carolina wasted little time putting up points against d00k this Saturday, scoring on the very first play from scrimmage. It was after the play that the stadium truly erupted.

UNC ran a flea-flicker on the first play and scored on an 89-yard touchdown pass from Marquise Williams to Ryan Switzer. A flea-flicker is when the quarterback hands the ball to the running back, who then pitches the ball back to the quarterback so that he can throw a pass.

As is tradition, the male cheerleaders held up one of their own on a platform to do push-ups after the made extra point. After UNC cheerleader Vincent Corwin did his seven push-ups, they lowered him back to the ground.

Vinny then pulled out a diamond ring and proposed to his fellow cheerleader and stunt partner, Carol.

She said yes, and the fans cheered louder for the two Tar Heels than they had for the touchdown.

The game was great in the sense that Carolina demolished its biggest rival. The Heels put up 21 points in the first quarter and never slowed down.

It wasn’t the most competitive game, but it provided a perfect moment for the now-engaged cheerleaders and a very memorable moment for all of the fans in attendance.
