UMiami is officially one of the best schools in the USA

…but with some of the worst dorms

The annual Princeton Review college rankings were just released, and the University of Miami has scored a spot on some of their lists. We are, of course, ranked in “The Best 381 Colleges” and in the “Best Southeastern” schools, thanks to our strong academic programs and small class sizes.

UM is fourth on “Lots of Race/Class Interaction”, beating both NYU, and Virginia Tech, which really shows how strong the diversity is here.

The Princeton Review and US News, as well as other top ranking sites, consistently ranks us as one of the most diverse and cultural schools (106 nations are represented).

We can’t always be perfect though. The schools are ranked based on survey questions asked of students at hundreds of schools around the country.

We’re nineteenth on “Students Study the Least” and sixth on “Is That a Dorm?” but hey, we can’t win everything. At least the night life is good and the housing…well, if you like your roommate, the dorms can be pretty fun too.

Unsurprisingly, UM has also made it onto the list of “Green Colleges”. Somehow, we didn’t place on the list of the most beautiful campuses, but we all know nothing can compare to that view.

Keep up the good work UM.
