UMass ranked one of the top schools in the world

We beat BC by nearly 100 spots

As if we needed reminding how great UMass is, we have officially been declared as one of the top 250 universities in the entire world.

The study, which judges the best 1000 universities across the planet, placed us at 249th. There are an estimated 26,000 universities in the world.

We rose two spots and beat our place of 251st last year, and we also came ahead of BC, who barely managed to crack the top 350.

Coming as no surprise, MIT, Stanford, and Harvard all took the top spots for another year running.

The QS World University Rankings bases their scores on the expert opinions of 75,015 academics and 40,455 employers, also analyzing institutional research impact. It’s known as the definitive guide of global university rankings.
