Rae Sremmurd is coming to UMass for Halloween

And we still can’t pronounce his damn name

The Mullins Center announced earlier this week that hip-hop duo Rae Schmegma… sorry, Sremmurd, will be putting on part of his “Verge Campus Tour” at UMass, with special guests Mike Stud and Kaneholler on October 31st, from 7-11pm.

The Facebook event relays that “tickets will be available at The Mullins Center box office beginning on Thursday, September 24th at Noon for $12.

“This is a special UMass Amherst Students only event! Valid UMass student ID must be presented to purchase a ticket and enter the event.”

A Yankees fan? No way.

The group has gained recent fame for songs like “This Could Be Us (but you playin’)”, “Throw Sum Mo”, and “Come Get Her”.

Is this another Ke$ha-style diversion hosted by the university to squelch illicit Halloween festivities? Will you be buying your tickets “just in case”? Is UMass ’bout to empty out the ATM for another concert? Can they introduce us to Nicki Minaj? We don’t have the answers just yet, but we’ll keep you up to date as the event gets closer.

And, no, we don’t know how to pronounce “Sremmurd” either.
