Ludacris will perform before G-Day game on Saturday

It’s Saturday in Athens again

UGA Athletics just announced on Twitter that Atlanta native Ludacris will be performing prior to Saturday’s G-Day scrimmage.

Both students and alumni were disappointed when it was announced earlier this week there would not be a performer for the event, but it appears UGA has solidified the hip-hop artist for a last minute pump-up show.

After failing to book a big name country artist, Athletic Director Greg McGarity and the Athletics Association announced on Tuesday that things just “didn’t work out” and the fifteen-minute slot before the game would remain empty. So it was certainly a pleasant surprise when they tweeted the news this afternoon.

Now we’re all yelling “LUDA.”
