The best social media reactions to the ferocious storm hitting UCSB
Of course there are still students in shorts and sandals
Winds of 50 miles per hour and rains of over an inch an hour have drenched Isla Vista in what is being referred to as the ‘strongest storm of the season’.
The heavy rains have toppled trees and caused parts of Goleta to be evacuated. The area around K Mart has been evacuated following flooding and a falling eucalyptus tree nearby. Three cars were crushed but nobody was injured.
Students, even more reluctant than normal to go to class, might be disappointed to hear that UCSB intends to remain open.
Here are Gaucho’s best reactions to the extreme weather.

Walking through the torrential downpour of Isla Vista and a random girl drove up and offered me a ride. I want to be her when I grow up

Only in Isla Vista would you see people playing beer die in wetsuits in a storm

Usually seems unnecessary to have an indoor facility at UCSB, but the Gauchos will be taking their talents inside today Stay safe out there.

I've always wondered if other people don't go to class when it rains or if it's just a UCSB thing
