BREAKING: Daniel Chen pleads not guilty to rape

His next court date is set for March 2nd

Daniel J. Chen, who was arrested for the 2014 rape and assault of a UCSB student last Wednesday, has pleaded not guilty in court today to two counts of rape according to the Daily Nexus.

The assault took place on the 23rd of February 2014 next to the UCSB track. Following the incident, police were able to recover evidence from the crime scene.

Last month, DNA evidence from an unrelated crime that took place in Alameda County linked the 2014 assault to Daniel J. Chen. Since his arrest last Wednesday, he has been held in Santa Barbara County jail without bail.
