Five people were mugged at gunpoint in Westwood

The assailant and his accomplice are still at large

An armed man and an accomplice robbed numerous people in the Westwood area last week.

One victim told ABC 7 she was walking her dog on Malcolm Avenue when she noticed a man behind her.

He demanded her phone at gunpoint.

She said, “I was really terrified. I couldn’t believe that something like this was happening” she said.

The armed assailant, although she also had her purse with her, exclusively wanted her phone. The LAPD reports that between 7:30 pm and 9 pm, another four muggings at gunpoint happened in Westwood.

The suspect has been described as in his late 30s, in a sport jacket, wearing a light green shirt and black pants. Most victims report that after he had robbed them, he fled into four-door black sedan with a getaway driver waiting.
