UCLA is officially one of the best universities in the world

Now accepting fall applications

According to US World News, UCLA is the #10 best university in the world.

The study is based on the information from the US and 60 other countries, in efforts to create a broad-scale list of universities as more students are applying internationally. US World News uses 12 performance indicators, including research reputation, conferences, total citations, and international collaboration. These indicators hold different weights and are analyzed together to produce a global score.

UCLA was ranked #10 out of 1,000 schools on the list with a score of about 86. Even better news? USC was ranked a lowly #53, tied with a university in China. Good try, Trojans. (And in case you were wondering, Harvard holds the top slot.)

This marks a big year for UCLA, considering we received the most applications in the nation this year: over 119,000 students applied to be a Bruin. With the 100th anniversary of UCLA coming up in 2019, it goes to show that all of our hard work pays off.

Keep up the good work, Bruins! You should be proud to call this place home.
