It’s official, Jackie Robinson is your favorite UCLA alum

James Franco didn’t do so well

A few weeks ago we asked you to vote for your favorite and least favorite UCL alumni, and you didn’t disappoint.

Now we can reveal the results, which have Jackie Robinson coming in top with 45 upvotes. Robinson broke the baseball color line when the Brooklyn Dodgers started him at first base on April 15, 1947. The Dodgers, by playing Robinson, ended racial segregation that had relegated black players to the Negro leagues since the 1880s.

Robinson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.

Rebel without a cause star James Dean was in second place with 17 votes, just one ahead of beloved Steve Martin in third place.
