UChicago named one of the top 10 universities in the world

We’re above 7 of the 8 Ivies, and Berkeley

As if we needed reminding how great UChicago is, we have officially been declared as one of the top 10 universities in the world.

The study, which judges the best 1000 universities across the planet, placed us at 9th. There are an estimated 26,000 universities in the world.

Beating our place of 10th last year, we also came ahead of Princeton, Berkeley, Yale and Columbia.

MIT, Stanford and Harvard all took the top spots for another year running.

The QS World University Rankings bases their scores on the expert opinions of 75,015 academics and 40,455 employers, also analyzing institutional research impact. It’s known as the definitive guide of global university rankings.
