U.S. News and World Report names Berkeley number one for the 19th year in a row

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

Good news for Berkeley today.

The highly anticipated U.S. News and World Report college rankings for 2017 have been released and The University of California, Berkeley takes the top spot for US public schools for the 19th year in a row.

“The U.S. News rankings focus on academic excellence, with schools ranked on up to 15 measures of academic quality. Overall, the rankings emphasize student outcomes – including graduation and retention rates – which carry the most weight at 30 percent.”

Cal also lands 20th place for all colleges nationwide, public or private.
