A Temple student was found dead in his off-campus apartment

In email sent by President Englert, it appears he died from gunshot wounds.

On May 5, 2018, Daniel Duignam, 21, a third-year business student, was found dead, just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, in his off campus apartment on the 1700 block of Diamond Street.

Both Temple University Police and Philadelphia Police are investigating.

Duignam allegedly died from gunshot wounds to the stomach, right arm and face, according to NBC 10.

Police do not believe that this was a random act.

Anyone with information about Daniel’s death is urged to call 215-204-1234 or use the confidential tip line at 215-204-6493. Temple University will enhance patrols in the areas surrounding campus as the investigation moves forward.

President Englert also noted that Tuttleman Counseling Services will be open today (Sunday) from 1 to 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Walk-in hours are available daily.

Story still developing.
