We talked to the dedicated Temple students who spent hours waiting for Trevor Noah tickets

When only 1,000 students get tickets, no one is taking their chances on missing this opportunity

Temple students are beginning to prepare for a visit from Daily Show host Trevor Noah this Friday, May 5th. Trevor will be performing a comedy show hosted by Temple University Main Campus Program board.

Tickets were made available to students today from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. While tickets were free, they were only available to the first 1,000 students.

For about two hours before the event, students formed a line that stretched from the Bell Tower to just about Annenberg Hall. Students brought snacks, homework, books, and even ukuleles to keep their sprits high waiting for tickets.

The Tab Temple reached out to some of our dedicated students, to see how long they’ve been waiting and hear about their endless love of Trevor Noah.

Lindsay Buck, Freshman, Therapeutic Recreation Major

Lindsay was the first person in line. She arrived at about 10:00 a.m.

“I’m really excited to see Trevor, I’m a big fan of his and the Daily Show!”

Nikita Patel, Junior, Kinesiology Major and Maxie Ehrlich, Junior, Advertising Major

Nikita: I’m a huge fan of Trevor Noah, I always watch the Daily Show. I think he’s hysterical and can take something and make it appeal to everyone.

Maxie: I really wanted to see him live, and I don’t have class until 2:00. I had a class that got out at 10:50, I ran home, grabbed my book and got in line!

Maddie Reid, Junior Public Relations Major

It’s really cool to see someone that’s on TV on our campus. It’s not just that; his show is good, he is entertaining and intelligent! Also, who can resist a man with an accent!?

Other students look forward to Trevor Noah’s show as a nice way to break up finals week, as well as a nice way to look at more serious topics in a less serious light. Thank you for saving us from finals, Trevor Noah.

Good luck getting tickets, Owls!
