A swastika and the words “Trump 2016” and “Nigger” were scrawled in snow on a car on 16th and Montgomery, a few blocks away from Temple University’s campus.

Temple junior Daisy Caledron was walking back to her apartment at early Thursday morning when she saw the drawings.

Daisy told The Tab she was walking with her boyfriend at around 4am and noticed “every car along Montgomery had snow drawings on them, but they were mostly just stupid stuff.”

Daisy first caught eye of the swastika on one car and took a photo, then seeing the racial slur and “Trump 2016” drawn on the same car.

Daisy posted about the incident in Temple’s Class of 2018 Facebook group, saying she was “disgusted that anyone, for whatever reason, would do something like this.”

A similar incident occurred in February 2016 on Carlisle street, when a Temple student found a swastika and the word “Nigger” written in snow on a car.

Temple Police was able to obtain images of three persons of interest but no arrests were made.

It’s reported over 100 recorded incidents of swastikas have been appearing across U.S. college campuses  by the AMCHA Initiative. Schools such as Rutgers University in New Jersey to Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania had similar incidents as well.

The Tab has notified Temple Police about the recent incident.
