Rory Gilmore inspired outfits to try this fall

Who doesn’t want to channel a little Rory Gilmore?

In case you haven’t started celebrating the countdown until Netflix’s four-part revival of the Gilmore gang in “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” we’re here to help.

The four-part-miniseries/musical starts streaming on November 25th, which means if you give up sleep and a social life and start a mega-marathon now, you should be able to make it to at least season 7 before the premiere.

And, if you’re looking to channel a little Rory Gilmore this fall, we don’t blame you.

She’s the fast talking, over-caffeinated muggle version of Hermione. Both badasses and both acceptable answers for “Who do you want to be when you grow up?”

So, if you consider yourself a local in the Stars Hollow universe, here’s a style guide featuring Rory Gilmore- mostly from Season 1- inspired fall outfits. All are perfect for reading a book (one of the 339 books Rory is shown reading throughout the show), cracking witty jokes, or drinking a cup of coffee- or five.

Cable knit Sweater

Before cozying up in oversized sweaters was synonymous with having a Starbucks cup in hand, Rory repped the original New England fall fashion staple. The classic sweater even follows Rory to Yale in turtleneck form.

Corduroy Skirt

This might be little too Brandy Melville for Rory, but ’tis the season for the corduroy skirt and I do believe Rory has had her fair share.

Jean Jacket

Rory’s jean jacket look is everything we want to be: cool and effortless. And bonus! Wearing a jean jacket always makes you feel like you have your sh*t together, that’s a proven fact.

You’re now ready to celebrate, in classic Gilmore style, the reunion of the most beloved onscreen mother/daughter powerhouse in the premiere ofGilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.” The only thing that can top these outfits off is a coffee in hand.

Oy with the poodles already.
