The four best places around SU to tackle your alcohol-induced hanger

If you’re a lazy drunk, just download GrubHub and Tapingo right now

With the 2014 Princeton Review ranking of number one party school comes great responsibility. Syracuse undergrads are notorious for going hard at places like Marathon, Walnut and Euclid, and then getting something to eat. I am no exception. I’ve complied a short list of my favorite drunk food places for those of you who are just joining the SU party scene. (To be honest, the food part of the night is better than the drinking part.)

Calios

While this one goes without saying, I’m going to say it again just in case you haven’t heard it before: Calios is THE drunk food destination for Syracuse University undergraduates. The best part is that if you aren’t willing to walk all the way down to Marshall Street when the snow starts to fall, you can order delivery to your dorm through GrubHub! The best item on the menu is the mac and cheese calzone or the buffalo chicken calzone. I know you’ll probably want to eat an entire calzone but I am here to tell you not to do it. You will have the worst stomachache of your life. Choose to split one with your friend. Your drunk alter ego (and your stomach) will thank you.

My roommate and I enjoy a mac and cheese calzone after a long night at DJ’s

Insomnia Cookies

Insomnia is great, and so are the people that work there. (A girl who worked there last semester told me on two different occasions that my eyebrows were on fleek.) Honestly, there is almost nothing better than a warm cookie (except, like a whole box of them). I know it’s far from some dorms, but good news, peeps. Just like Calios, Insomnia delivers! You can order through GrubHub– but make sure you don’t fall asleep or leave before the cookies get there. We’ve all been there.

Kimmel Food Court

If you live on Main Campus, Kimmel is the place to be in the wee hours of the morning. I don’t know anyone on this campus who doesn’t love a slice of greasy pizza or a burrito stuffed with everything possible after a night storming the Hill. At least once a weekend, everyone who lives on Main ends up at Kimmel. (If you’re like me and you live in Watson, you end up at Kimmel on weekdays too because you’re pathetic.) The best part? You can use the SUper food money on your SUID and pretend like you didn’t spend any money on food! If you’re too lazy to walk from Watson, Ernie, or Booth to Kimmel, I have great news for you. Tapingo delivers from Kimmel!

The Junction on The Mount

I miss livingĀ on The Mount because it was quiet, secluded, and because it had The Junction. The Junction, located in the tunnel between Flint and Graham, opens up at 9pm. While it may not be your favorite drunk destination, it’s great if you started way too early and had to come back before midnight because someone got too wild. The best things on the menu are the mozzarella sticks and the full size pizza bagels. Unfortunately for those of us who no longer live on The Mount, Tapingo does not deliver to us peasants on the Hill so you’ll have to make the trek up there. But don’t worry, the drunk steps will be there to catch you when you fall. (Wait, @Gab Dizon, can you get Tapingo to deliver mozzarella sticks from The Junction to me?)

Living my best life at The Junction

So, there you have it folks… let the 3am drunk feasting begin!
