Here’s what happened at ‘Cuse this week
The SUN came out!
This past week began with cold weather and snow flurries and ended with shorts and sunscreen weather… and here is what you missed in between.
‘Cuse became quite the political campaigning scene
Bernie Sanders campaigned in ‘Cuse at the Oncenter on Tuesday.
Donald Trump was here on Saturday and held a rally at the Oncenter, as well. In accordance with his visit, students and others alike gathered to protest his visit.

Greek Week
The SU Greek community came together for a week of events that included a vigil for victims of child abuse, a new member field day, and a Greek awards night.
The weather was beautiful
Cultures on the Quad gave students a taste of different cultures
The Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics held their annual Cultures on the Quad event in which representatives from each of the many languages and culturally-oriented classes tabled with foods and assets of their respective culture.
The food was AH-MAZING.
The BIG Event happened
Student volunteers participated in OrangeSeed’s yearly BIG Event which allocates this day of service and delegates volunteers to many locations around Syracuse.
OrangeSeeds is a first-year leadership empowerment program that consists of a group of 24 students who work together to organize this event throughout the school year.
There was a stabbing on South Campus
Former SU football player Naesean Howard was charged in the stabbing of SU football players Corey Winfield and Chauncey Scissum. Read more about this above.
Prospective students participated in the annual Own The Dome event
Admitted students to the SU Class of 2020 slept overnight in the Dome on Sunday. There were performances by SU student groups, and an improv show featuring Simply Unemployable.
FINALS ARE APPROACHING
Time to frantically start reading material that you should have been throughout the semester because CLASSES END TWO WEEKS FROM TUESDAY!
…and the nice weather is definitely not going to help the cause.
