Everything you need to know about the New York Primary

It’s today by the way

Get out your voting gear and turn on your most politically minded brain because the New York Primary is TODAY!

There are three voting places close to campus or on campus for SU students. Bird Library is one of course, so today is probably not the day to go there to study. For those in South Campus Apartments and Skytop Hall, the Drumlins Country Club is open for voting. If you live in Lyons Hall, Ed Smith Elementary is an open polling location not too far away. For ESF students, and SU students living in the far away dorms like BBB, Sadler, and Lawrinsom, the Toomey Abbott Towers, located at 1207 Almond Street, are an open polling location.

Polling locations are open from 12pm-9pm.

Unfortunately, these are closed primaries, so unless you are registered with either the Republican or Democratic party, you aren’t allowed to vote in the New York Primary.

Also, be sure to not wear clothing with a candidates name or slogan on it. While it’s an old, not always enforced rule, it’s possible you may not be able to vote if you show up in a candidate’s apparel.

Happy voting!
