We go to the nation’s snowiest University

Cuse even beat out Alaska

Despite the almost 50 degree day that prompted some students to wear shorts on this lovely Thursday, Syracuse has been named the snowiest University in the nation.

Other schools that made the list of the top ten include Dartmouth, the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the University of Vermont.

This news is no shocker to students who come to Cuse expecting the piles of snow and lack of class cancelations to accompany the weather. As an Orange man or woman, you are bound to have heard the many sly comments from family and friends who question your choice of school because of the snow.

Living up to its reputation, we experienced the first big snowfall of the semester last week… on the first day of classes. Welcome back everyone.

How to brave the elements… furry hoods are a must.

Now THIS is walking to class in style… How many Canada Goose jackets can you spot?

The walkways to Bird were COVERED… looks like we’ll have to delay the studying yet again.

Hall of Languages looking handsome as usual.

Last Tuesday evening, at this point the flakes were finally done falling.

The snow, making the Mount an even better hike for its inhabitants.

Remember when the Quad was filled with sunbathers and frisbee-throwers?

Freshman Leanne Aban enjoyed last Tuesday’s blizzard.

Freshman Joie Anacker is clearly enjoying the weather.

This is a direct result of a snowstorm during syllabus week. Get ’em ‘Cuse!

Freshman Alexa Guzman enjoys the snow… artsy, huh?

The almighty cleaner of snow…

…and after all that, here is the weather on this fine Thursday.

All in all, the snow adds to the atmosphere here on the Hill and it sure doesn’t stop any Cuse students from doing what we do best…studying, that is.
