SU senior slams former sorority in shocking YouTube video

Senior Alex Purdy has sparked talk among SU with her video she just posted on why she left her sorority.
In her Facebook post she said, “I decided to leave my sorority last semester and make this video to share my thoughts on how Greek life can change for the better.”
In the video she says she wanted to join the sorority for sisterhood but instead she claims she witnessed “the overwhelming lack of compassion for one another.”
She alleges:
- Some of the ‘loudest voices’ said things like ‘we don’t want any FUPAs in the house’
- Hearing sisters telling sisters to dress sluttier at the next formal to impress guys
- Hearing a Big talk about putting the weight loss pill hydroxycut in a basket for her Little
- Women in leadership roles told her to care about what others think about their appearance
She encourages girls to start using the hashtag #sororityrevamp
When we reached out to members of the sorority, they made no acknowledgment that they knew her.
