Tyra Banks just added Stanford professor to her résumé
She’s going to teach graduates about branding
Tyra Banks, former Victoria’s Secret Model and host of “America’s Next Top Model”, will begin co-teaching a personal brands class at Stanford next May.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Tyra will teach around 25 graduate students how to effectively use media forms, handle the press and create a personal brand.
The course description says student’s first task will be to create a video explaining who they are and what kind of brand they want to create.
Tyra said she will call-out students who are not paying attention and only wants students to use their phones if they are going to “tweet something I’ve said.”
Tyra will be teaching the class with Allison Kluger, a Stanford professor and former producer of “Good Morning America.”
The idea to have Tyra teach came to Allison after watching Banks give a speech at a recent Stanford event.
Allison and Tyra are currently planning the course, which will be available for registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
