Three men charged in connection to fatal stabbing over the weekend

Three men have been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing that occurred on Saturday morning.
Manuel Maldonado, 20; Jose David Vasquez-Rivera, 18, and Xavier Sanchez-Parral,18, have all been arrested and charged with connection to the robbery and fatal stabbing occurring Saturday morning, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. These three men live in New Brunswick.
The stabbing happened around 2:30 a.m on Hamilton Street between Woodbridge and Bridge Streets. The victim, who was not associated with the university, was approached by two to three males who demanded personal property. According to NBPD, there was a physical altercation and the victim was assaulted with “a sharp object”. The victim was treated on the scene by first responders but died from his injuries.
