Alexander and Kilmer libraries now open 24 hours

P.S. They’re giving away free stuff today

It’s a day we thought we would never see — two of Rutgers’ libraries will now be open 24 hours per day starting this fall. According to the Daily Targum,  Kilmer library on Livingston and Alexander library on College Ave are now open from Sunday to Thursday all day, but the usual hours will apply for Friday and Saturday. Kilmer and Alexander were selected because of the high number of students that frequent these two libraries.

If for some reason you don’t have an incentive to go to the library, at least go today. As a ‘Happy First Day of School’ gesture and to attract first year students, Kilmer and Alexander will be giving away mystery gifts. All you have to do is stop by the circulation desk at one of the libraries.

The library online services will also be stretching their hours from 10am to 10pm Monday-Thursday, and 7am-10pm starting September 11th.

Freshmen, don’t take 24 hour library service for granted. Having to leave at 2am when you’re in the zone writing an expos essay is the worst.
