BREAKING: Obama confirms he will speak at RU commencement

HALLELUJAH

Ever since he was invited, mid-250th anniversary celebrations, campus has been alight with speculation over whether President Obama will grace us with his presence at commencement.

Now the President has confirmed he WILL speak at 2016’s commencement ceremony.

In a press release issued by the White House earlier today, a spokesperson said: “The President is aware of efforts by Rutgers students to convince him to come and it’s moved him deeply.

“It’s why he’s come to the decision to visit New Brunswick and speak at the Rutgers Class of 2016 ceremony.

“President Obama is very excited to be part of the event at a university he respects deeply.”

Last November, RUSA sent a letter encouraging him to visit the banks of the old Raritan, and earlier this year RU-TV inviting Obama to “come make history” this May.

And now it seems we’ll see that historic event.

Thank you President Obama!
