Stabbing in Mettler Hall

A student has been stabbed in the area of the Mettler Hall on College Ave.

The University sent out an alert at 6:44 pm urging students to seek a safe place.

A second alert was sent out about 15 minutes later saying the suspect has been put in custody and the area was secured.

RUPD found two injured students at the scene. They were taken to hospital.

One bystander said: “The kid was stabbed right in the lobby and then dragged outside with blood everywhere.

“It was so scary.”
