What would you say to Hillary Clinton?

‘Why did you stay with Bill?’

As college kids, we’d all like the opportunity to speak to the presidential candidates. So, we gave you that opportunity.

The Tab Rutgers asked you what you’d say to Hillary Clinton if you had the chance. Some of you had positive things to say and others had not-so-nice things to say. Many had, well, strange things to say.

Adrianna, junior, Political Science

“Do you think being a woman and being for woman’s health is enough for you to win the women’s vote?”

George, junior, Finance

“How is she supposed to convince people she’s tough on Wall Street when four out of her top five donors are investment banks?”

Auntu, junior, Biochemistry

“Are there any possibilities that the college tuitions around the state could be lowered?”

Morgan, sophomore, Communication

“If you want change, don’t just talk about it. Do something.”

Sarah, sophomore, History

“I’m glad that there’s finally a woman running, but I’m not sure if I’d agree with everything you’re doing.”

German, senior, Criminal Justice and Psychology

“I’m all for Bernie Sanders.”

Allison, senior, Journalism and Media Studies

“Why did you stay with Bill after he cheated on you?”

Andrew, junior, Communication

“Are you menopausal?”

Steven, sophomore, Undecided

“Don’t worry about the whole email thing. We should be focused on more important issues. Bring that up when people ask about that and try to turn the conversation around to more important issues.”

Jennifer, junior, Journalism and Media Studies

“I hope that you win the presidency for the next election because I think of you as a presidential candidate, not the first woman president.”
