Princeton is officially the best college in America, according to a new ranking

We also have the best undergraduate teaching and best value

Princeton has been ranked the best school in the nation by US News and World Report for the seventh year running.

The annual ranking of the top 300 national universities puts us on top, also recognizing us as number one for "best undergraduate teaching" and "best value school."

Princeton was also noted for its high peer assessment score, average freshman retention rate and alumni giving rank.

Harvard came second, followed by UChicago and Yale in joint third, then Columbia at fifth.

US News base their rankings on graduate outcomes (year-by-year completion and graduation rates), the number of students receiving Pell Grants, faculty resources, student satisfaction, financial resources, expert opinion, student excellence and alumni giving.

Bring on next year.
