Cap follows Charter and starts using consent pledges at parties

They’re the second club to do it

Last week Princeton’s eating club Charter began using consent pledges at their parties. Now it seems Cap and Gown has followed suit.

At Boxers and Blazers last night, Cap insisted all of its partygoers read a statement out loud:

“Consent happens when individuals of sound mind voluntarily and enthusiastically choose to engage in any sexual activity.”

Entrance to both parties was only granted after the statement had been read.

Members of Charter are aware of Cap using consent pledges and are happy to see clubs following in their footsteps.

Charter definitely seems to have started a trend in the right direction.
