Woodrow Wilson rename decision to be announced tomorrow

It follows months of deliberation

Tomorrow the Board of Trustees will announce their decision regarding Woodrow Wilson’s legacy at Princeton, according to the University Press Club.

The board in charge of the decision states on their website: “The Board of Trustees has appointed a special committee to consider Woodrow Wilson’s legacy at Princeton, and, more specifically, whether or not changes should be made in how the University recognizes Wilson’s legacy.”

The committee’s decision follows months of deliberation and heated student protests last November, which were led by the Black Justice League.

The BJL demanded the university remove the mural of Wilson in the Wilcox dining hall and rename the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, culminating in an occupation of Eisgruber’s office.

There is no indication yet of the committee’s decision.
