‘Dean Bonner fuck your statement’: Students respond to alleged police brutality on November 17

VIDEO: Towers patio today

Today, a group of about 30 protesters met on Towers patio in response to the alleged police brutality that happened on November 17th.

They were greeted by campus police, who were blocking all entrances to Towers. In total, there were at least 10 officers in and around Towers.

The protesters attracted a small crowd both inside and outside. It started out with several students giving brief speeches.

The protesters chanted “What do we do when student rights are attacked? Fight back,” and the classic “no Trump! No KKK, no fascist USA.” When Dean Bonner came to watch the protest, they moved closer to him and more students made speeches about police brutality. They walked away, chanting “Dean Bonner fuck your statement!”
