The great flood of Tower B

If you saw the fire trucks at Tower B, here’s what happened

Imagine this: your floor is having a party in the hall, when suddenly, you see flashing lights and hear a faint siren.

This is exactly what happened yesterday in Tower B.

All 600+ residents were evacuated at around 10:30 pm. On floor 12, someone’s pipe burst in their room and caused a rather large flood.  Most people assembled on the towers patio, and eventually were chanting “Fuck Penn State” and “Vote Sean Brady,” as the Holland residents looked on. The fire department was called in and cleared the building in about 15 minutes.

After that, there was an extremely long line to get back in because security wanted to swipe everyone’s Pitt ID.  My roommate and I decided to wait for the line to get shorter, so we went to the top of the Cathedral to pass the time.  While there, we found out that security stopped letting people in, because the line was too long.

Eventually, everyone got back in, and I was curious about what floor 12 looked like, post-apocalypse. Here are some pictures.

There were 4 of these dehumidifier machines lined up down the hall.
