James Franklin officially crowned ‘Coach of the Year’

Like we didn’t already know that

After a killer season, Nittany Lions coach James Franklin can put Coach of the Year onto the top of his resumé. Finally, everyone is thinking the same thing as us: he totally deserved it.

Some other candidates were Washington’s head coach Chris Petersen and Colorado’s Mike MacIntyre. And while Washington did snub us for a place in the playoffs, the glory of going to the Rose Bowl is hard to beat.

When asked about this career defining moment, Franklin said, “For me, it’s not just the season. It’s all the hard work and all the positive steps we’ve been taking for three years… Those steps were up Mount Nittany. That’s how I look at it.”

Relatable, because we all know what a bitch walking up Mount Nittany is, but the view at the end is totally worth it. Kind of like losing to Pitt, but then ending up being Big Ten Champs?

Looks like calling for multiple White Outs really works… Congrats to Coach Franklin!
