We asked people daylonging for OSU if they thought we’d win

‘Ohio’s gonna stomp us out’

There’s nothing quite like waking up at 9am and getting dressed up for some quality drinking time with a couple of your fellow classmates. So if it’s still warm out (or at least not unbearably cold), it’s daylong season, where houses throw large outdoor parties and the guests invited are treated to loud music and a variety of beverages (read: Natty Light and Vlad).

So it was another, slightly colder weekend of daylonging, which was kicked off early Saturday morning despite the 8pm kickoff , Some kids made it, and others pass out way to early, it’s all a part of the festivities – just hope you didn’t leave midway through the game…

This weekend was made even more memorable considering the Ohio State win that honestly no one was expecting, and the riots that occurred afterwards. People are going to be asking “Where were you when we beat Ohio State?” for years.

But before all that – without the benefit of hindsight but with the benefit of some good tailgating festivities – we asked a few loyal daylongers what they thought the outcome of the day would be.

The girls

To daylong or not to daylong?

Girl 1 (left): “Yes, Daylonging is my best class”

Girl 2 (center): “I’d rather be here than studying for my test on Tuesday”

Girl 3 (right): “[laughs] Same”

Do you think we’re going to win?

Girl 1: “Nope”

Girl 2: “Maybe”

Girl 3: “I don’t think so”

It’s way too early, right?

Girl 1: “Yes, but today is worth it”

Girl 2: “If it was Sunday, I’d still be in bed”

Girl 3: “Yes it is”

Brett Favre and Hack

What are your names?

“Brett Favre, hall of famer, I look solid in any pair of wranglers “

“Christen Hackenberg, I make a couple million just to hangout on some benches”

To daylong or not to daylong?

Brett: “No doubt”

Hack: “Of course I already started at 9”

We going to win?

Brett: “Ohio’s gonna stomp us out”

Hack: “[Laughs] Naahhh”

It’s way too early, right?

Brett: “We have got to start at some time”

Hack: “Favre’s on to something”

Natalie Hall

To daylong or not to daylong?

Natalie: “Daylong, I’m in college and I’m living”

Do you think we’ll win?

Natalie: “No shot”

It’s way too early, right?

Natalie: “I’d want to sleep in”

After a full day of tailgating (gotta love that 8pm kickoff), we were treated to a brilliant game and a crazy celebration downtown afterwards. 24-21 never felt so good. Until next time, Ohio State.
