Penn State ranked 52nd best university in the world

Still number one in our hearts

The Center for World University Rankings, or CWUR, recently debuted their annual list of the top 1000 universities worldwide, and Penn State definitely made the cut, coming in at #52. The top spot was awarded to Harvard University followed by Stanford University.

The CWUR publishes the only global university ranking and the list is based upon specific criteria, including: quality of education and training of students, prestige of faculty members and the quality of their research.

Last year, Penn State was ranked at #47—five spots in front of where it was placed on this year list.

Ohio State and Rutgers seemed to have creeped up ahead of us this year… let’s not let that happen again.
