No Gawker, the Nittany Lion doesn’t want to assassinate Obama

Gawker mistakenly used our beloved mascot to illustrate a group of furries trying to assassinate the President

The Nittany Lion is arguably the greatest mascot in the league… and apparently now he’s a figurehead for a group of wannabe furry assassins. In a Gawker article today, Penn State’s own Nittany Lion was mistakenly used as the featured picture for an article about Obama assassination plot on Wikipedia which was removed by the site.

When we say that we bleed blue and white, that definitely does not mean that we are anarchists plotting the death of the nation’s Commander and Chief.  The author should probably just stick to using stock images of people in general animal costumes (aka actual furries) instead of a lone lion chilling on a laptop wearing a scarf (aka Penn State’s mascot in the Hub) to illustrate furry political assassins.

Social media users who obviously grew up on the right side of the tracks took to commenting on Gawker’s blatant mistake.

WE ARE….not furries… or anarchists.
