And was ranked one of the top cities for football fans in the nation

Penn State is known for many things from our outstanding school spirit and love of tailgating to our favorite mascot the Nittany Lion.

Nothing beats a good weekend of football, tailgating and hanging out with your favorite friends in blue and white.

Just in time for Blue and White weekend, WalletHub.com, which researches the best deals and other statistics, released a report of the best and worst cities for football fans.

State College ranked 22 out of 245 cities overall, making it one of the top cities for football.

Penn State fans also ranked for one of the most friendly and engaged fans. Penn State’s was ranked #5 and made the list for top colleges for the best fans.

The results from this survey are based on team performance and cost and fan engagement. They took into account the number of wins and performance. They also looked at ticket prices, sports bars, fan engagement, attendance, accessibility, and popularity.

Penn State also topped some of its big ten rivals, beating out Ohio State, Michigan, and Indiana.

Only thing we ranked low on? Prices, with one of the highest minimum season ticket prices for a college football game. But hey, this is the best show in town.

The study proves what we already know Penn State has the top fans and the best student section. Let’s go Blue and White!
