UO administration bans bikes and skateboards on campus

The campus police is concerned with the amount of knockouts on campus

The sun has finally come out out, but unfortunately your bikes will need to stay locked up at home. The University of Oregon administration has announced that at the beginning of spring term wheeled transportation, such as bikes and skateboards will no longer be allowed on campus.

The decision comes on the heels of the campus police finding excessive amounts of scattered road debris and fatalities on campus the past two terms. Between the excessive amounts squirrels and people walking around while on their phones it’s a safety nightmare on route to class.

With the new change make sure you leave enough time to get to your classes, it’ll be crowded on the streets with so many pedestrians slowly chugging their way to class on the first day back from break. Happy walking, watch out for those squirrels!

Check the date.
