BREAKING: Students are rallying in the EMU amphitheater

The Young Democratic Socialists are putting on a rally at the EMU amphitheater to help organize themselves and take next steps after last night’s election results.

Speakers are talking about social action, what’s going to happen next and discussing the group’s aims aims to band together against Trump.

While this isn’t an organized protest, it’s a time for student groups around campus to make their resources available and encourage each other to be available to one another.

“If you ever need anyone to talk to, please know you’re not alone and your voice matters,” said one student speaker.

In the atmosphere of anger, they’re hoping to inspire change and show that a presidency doesn’t determine how the country should be run.
