Ohio State students send care packages to deployed troops
Army ROTC cadets and student veterans put together care packages for service members
On Friday, September 15, from 1:00-3:00PM at Remembrance Park in front of Converse Hall, cadets and student veterans put together 200 care packages to be sent to deployed Ohio service members.
Lead in conjunction with Operation Buckeye, an organization "formed with the sole purpose of sending boxes to our troops as a way to thank them for their efforts and to bring them a touch of home," Ohio State's Army ROTC and Office of Military and Veteran Services lead a military themed service project.
The project was completed just before the Ohio State Buckeyes football game against the Army Black Knights.
On September 16, the Buckeyes will play their first-ever football game with the Knights. What better way to prepare than to team-up with a service organization that sends boxes to troops?
