Suspect in Reagan Tokes murder to be tried in Columbus, says judge

Court rules the venue won’t change ‘at this time’

The suspect in Reagan Tokes‘ murder will be tried in Columbus, according to a judge’s ruling.

Brian Golsby, who had asked for his trial to be held outside of Columbus, had his request denied moments ago.

Franklin County Judge Mark Serrott denied the motion by Golsby’s attorneys to move his trial to a different county.

The motion may be revisited once the judge has a better sense of the jury’s knowledge of the case.

Golsby’s attorneys believe he has already been found guilty in the media, and that such bias will taint the case.

Golsby faces charges of rape, kidnapping and murder of Reagan Tokes. He has entered a not guilty plea.

If convicted, he could face a death penalty sentence.
