‘Police say this was no accident’: Ohio State freshman dies after getting hit by car

Police are investigating it as a homicide

At 2am on Sunday, March 26th, Ohio State freshman Madie Hart was struck by a car in Cincinnati around the 600 block of Walnut Street, in front of the Aronoff Center.

Police say this was no accident and are in the process of investigating Hart’s death as a homicide.

Earlier that night, Hart had an altercation in a bar with the driver of the vehicle who hit her.

Hart passed away from her injuries sustained from the vehicle at 7:21am Thursday, March 30th.

Madie was in her first year at Ohio State and was a graduate from St. Ursula Academy in Cincinnati.

She was also an organ donor and went on to save three lives after her death.

Friends and family have set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for funeral costs, hospital care Madie received, and any other financial support that will be needed for the Hart family during this time.
