Ohio State has 11 graduate programs ranking in the top 10 in the world

According to U.S. News & World Report, we’re doing pretty good

Finally Ohio State is being praised for academics and not just having a really good sports program. In U.S. News & World 2018 edition of the best graduate schools in America, OSU had 11 programs make the cut.

The 11 programs and their placing are as follows:

  • Technical/ vocational education (1)
  • Legal Dispute Resolution (2)
  • Social Psychology (3)
  • Student counseling and personnel services education (4)
  • Nursing (5)
  • Doctor of Nurse Practitioner (DNP) (5)
  • Business and supply chain/ logistics (5)
  • Curriculum and instruction education (7)
  • International politics (8)
  • Elementary teacher education (9)
  • Part-time MBA (9)

Overall, Ohio State’s education program is ranked as 18th nationally, with specialty programs student counseling and personnel services education, curriculum and instruction education, and elementary education ranking fourth, seventh, and 11th respectively.

As for nursing, out of 532 accredited programs Ohio State came in at fifth overall as well as fifth for the Doctor of Nurse Practitioner program. That’s no surprise considering all of the hours that go into the nursing program requirements, even for undergrad.

The Buckeyes have also gotten high rankings in their business and engineering programs. Supply/ chain logistics ranked fifth and the part-time MBA came in at ninth for business programs. The specialty program of biological/ agricultural engineering ranked 11th.
