Apparently the country hates OSU football
But does that stop us? NOPE
Most of us at THE Ohio State University have been fans of the mighty Buckeyes our entire lives. But surprise to us, Reddit ran a poll of 5,000 readers and 11.4 percent of them said they hated OSU, which apparently makes us the most hated football squad and fans in the country.
Sadly, not everyone is a Buckeye fan. Apparently winning the first College Football Playoff and the National Championship in 2014 made people mad?
Our rivalry against Michigan goes back more than a century, making it the best rivalry in all of college sports. But for some reason, every Penn State fan likes to claim that they are our rivals? Just because we chant “You suck, Penn State” during a band song does not mean you are top-tier rivals with the best of them. Nice try though.
Let’s face it, every school wants to say that they have a rivalry with Ohio State… Penn State, Michigan State, Alabama… (just to name a few) and why else would they hate us so much if we weren’t truly the best?
We don’t give a damn for the whole state of Michigan, or the haters.
Haters gonna hate, but in spite of all our so-called rivals, someone please let them know that all it does is push us even harder to prove you wrong. If that makes the country hate us then good riddance to you all because not only do we have the best damn band in the land and the best damn football team in the land, but most importantly we also have the BEST DAMN FANS IN THE LAND and to those who disagree we really just don’t care!
We all admit, our school is much more than just football, but what would are school really be without it? The beaming pride that first Saturday morning of the season that reigns until that very final game fuels us for our entire time here at the best damn school in the land.
