The Mirror Lake Jump is canceled

35-6 voted in favor of change

USG held its 48th General Assembly yesterday evening to discuss, among other issues, the cancelation of the annual Mirror Lake Jump.

The vote concluded with 35 in favor, six opposed and six abstentions.

The official resolution of their decision says: “Therefore Let it Be Resolved that the Mirror Lake jump should be ended.

“Let it Further Be Resolved that the Undergraduate Student Government will make every effort to support a new tradition created by the students that celebrates our university while respecting the safety of its students.”
